LFP Grand Opening Party!
For those of you that don’t know, I’ve recently started a new company with my good friend, Duane Fernandez. One aspect of this company will be a gallery and store located near downtown Tulsa. We will be hosting a grand opening party on the night of September 12th. That’s a Friday. Save the date. You’re going to want to be in attendance, and I certainly want to see you there. This is your official invitation.
This event will be a gallery opening only. We will slowly build up the store aspect as we go. So, don’t expect to knock out your Christmas shopping unless you want to give everyone on your list a piece of art… and based on personally experiences, this is a practice I strongly discourage unless you know the gift recipient extremely well.
I take that back. We will have some limited edition screen printed t-shirts available at reasonable prices, one of which will be designed by yours truly (not quite done yet, but the design(s) will be posted when finished). I can certainly set aside a t-shirt for you. Just let me know if you’d like one.
There will be drinks and snacks (I’d strongly suggest you eat dinner beforehand so you don’t get sloppy drunk… the snacks probably won’t take you too far). There will be art by Duane on display and for sale. There will be awesome music. There will be awesome people. You’ll probably want to sit on our awesome new couch and hang out for most of the evening. The party might just move to Tiny Lounge (directly across the street) once the keg has floated. Awesome.
If you’d like to help us promote this event (thanks in advance), you can copy and paste the code here into your myspace profile, a bulletin, or anywhere you desire.
We just spent this very evening putting together a website for the gallery/shop (shoplfp.com… bit of a work in progress to say the least). This site will be used to post events as well as list products as they arrive. Eventually, we will even have online ordering so you will never have to leave the house again. Go check it out.
Server Change
Dearest friends, I am in the process of moving phrough.net to a new hosting account. Things might be a bit weird during this process. Also, you will need to register again, as your accounts did not transfer (though your previous comments did). My apologies. Hopefully my RSS feed will be working now (or soon) for those of you who are in to such things. If you aren’t, I highly suggest you look into it.
Amazon.com Bill Me Later Discount
I don’t want to tell you how to spend your money, but I do want to let you in on a sweet deal. Amazon.com is trying to promote its new Bill Me Later option (which is actually provided by a third party company). They are offering discounts across many departments, but the one of particular interest to me is the music discount. If you spend $50 you get $10 off when paying with Bill Me Later. If you spend $100 you get $20 off. I took advantage and picked some new vinyls (including a couple of the upcoming Radiohead vinyl re-releases… Kid A and Amensiac). Amazon has a really good vinyl selection. Go check it out.
Back to the discount. All you do is select the “Bill Me Later” payment option. You’ll have to provide some information to Bill Me Later (so they can bill you, it only makes sense). Then enter the promo code BMLMUSIC at the order review screen. Do not make the frustrating mistake of trying to enter the code on the payment selection screen like I did. You have to do it on the order review page, as the system isn’t capable of setting the payment method and then applying the promo code correctly from the same page (are you listening Amazon?). More Bill Me Later discount codes after the break. Also, be sure to use my Amazon.com links so I can get paid big bucks from your purchases. Read the rest of this entry »

Where the Hell is Matt?
And I thought my friend Cody has been to a lot of countries. This video is pretty amazing, and there’s even more to see/read on Matt’s website.
